I'm smack dab in the middle of a big, (beautiful) creative and career pivot... Again. STILL...

In short, I’m slowly, surely moving away from ONLY offering traditional design-for-hire work. And I’m focusing more of my energy on my own creative liberation, identity-led storytelling, and offering soul-centered guidance for fellow artists, entrepreneurs, and change-makers.

my favorite thing is helping hesitant creatives find the courage to make new things & share their ideas, guiding others through the creative process, and encouraging them to take the next, (TINYbaby!) step in the direction of their dreams.

I’m Making (awkward) Magic on YouTube:

I’ve been experimenting with making videos that blend creative empowerment, identity exploration, and bite-sized design wisdom. At the moment, my channel is called Aaron Embrey | Wild Creating, and I’m showing up there more and more regularly (~ish)... Topics range from personal branding and finding your unique visual voice to vlog-style, raw reflections about my life as a trans artist and creative business owner in East Texas.

I’m Writing & Publishing:

I launched a new subscriber-supported blog/newsletter called Unfolding, where I’m publishing more in-depth personal essays and reflections on creativity, transition, visibility, and healing. The writing is raw, soul-fueled, and guided by my heart’s desires.

I’m creating new Offers around creative identity Guidance:

I’ve also been slowly/surely developing a few, small work-and-playshops, creative identity sessions, ‘zine-making labs, and mini-courses for GUMROAD, that are aimed at helping people see themselves more clearly as artists and express their unique voice with bold, soulful design.

Here’s What’s Changing:

After nearly a decade of running my creative services business, Bent Barn Studio and teaching part-time at Kilgore College, I’m consciously winding down client services and preparing to launch more group offerings and coaching spaces under the Wild Creating umbrella.

I’m also prototyping a seasonal in-person event in East Texas (Creative Communion? Pineywoods Salon?) to gather local artists, students, and soulful misfits IRL!

Otherwise I’m out here:

Drinking strong tea.
